Those stressors can have a really
profound effect on our health and and
frankly our mental, emotional, and
physical health. And in chiropractic, I
frequently see that periods of stress
often precede breakdowns in health. And
if you think back to your own history,
you may find that each and every episode
of severe significant lower back pain or
migraines that you experience have often
in the past been preceded by periods of
stress. And so one of the best ways that
I know to help mitigate that stress is
to focus on your health. And what do I
mean by that? I mean, trying to make
sure that you’re getting adequate
rest, trying to make sure that your body
is well hydrated, making better food
choices, including leading with a
healthy protein dense meal in the early
day, limiting unnecessary carbs and
sugars, reducing or eliminating alcohol
and some of those things that are really
kind of toxic to the brain and to the
body, making sure that you’re moving
every single day. Something as simple as
a long walk can go a long long way to
promoting your health. Obviously, as a
chiropractor, I think the best bang for
your buck is to get adjusted. We know
that the spine protects the nervous
system, including your brain and spinal
column. And every crucial function in
the body is controlled by your nervous
system. And so, someone ought to be
taking a look at how that nervous system
is affected by stressors on your
physical body. And all of these things
added together with the right attitude
can really help you to combat stress,
help you to feel much, much much better,
and help you to minimize the long-term
effects of living in a stressful world.

important. It’s one of the most
