Common Myth About Chiropractic

One common myth about chiropractic is: “Once you go, you always have to go.” 🤔 We would say the same thing about the dentist! Isn’t it nice to take care of your teeth? It’s the same with your spine, except much more satisfying. 🌟 Once you come to our office, you aren’t required to return. Rather, you’ll want to keep feeling great! If you’re dealing with persistent pain, you don’t have to live with it. Powers Chiropractic (402) 687-3339 11343 Wright Circle, Omaha, NE 68144 https://powers-chiropractic.com/

Hey, Dr. Corey P here at P Chiropractic.
Uh, one of the things that I’ve heard
many, many times over my career is
people will say, “Well, you know, once
you go to a chiropractor, you always
have to go.” And while I understand the
sentiment behind a statement like that,
it seems just so silly to me. If you go
and join a gym and work out every other
day for several months and finally
achieve the body that you’ve always
wanted, does that mean you can stop
working out? You know, in the same way I
hear people who diet, they diet like
crazy because they’ve got a wedding
coming up or they’ve got a vacation and
they want to look good and they want to
feel good. And so they eat very
carefully and they make all the right
choices and they lose weight and they
start looking and feeling great. Now,
does that person get to go immediately
back to eating the way they used to and
expect to maintain the progress that
they’ve made? It doesn’t make any sense
at all, you know? And so I’ll often say,
well, you know, if you have teeth, you
need to brush them. If you have a car,
brand new car, it’s it’s going to need
oil changes. So, your body’s going to
require a certain amount of chiropractic
care to make sure it continues to
function properly. And a lot of people
start feeling so much better under
chiropractic care that they wonder what
in the world they did for all the years
that chiropractic was not a part of
their of their lives. And so those
people have decided that they feel so
much better with chiropractic that
they’d rather continue at some frequency
and use chiropractic because it helps
them feel and live better that it might
become a part of their lifestyle.
They’re not addicted to it. They just
know that they feel better with
chiropractic care. And so when I hear
that, it drives me it drives me bonkers.
doesn’t make any logical sense, but it’s
one of those criticisms that we hear,
you know, from time to time. You know,
once you go, you always have to go.
Well, once you eat right, you might
choose to eat right for a lifetime.
You’d be glad if you did. Same is true
of working out. Same is true of a lot of
disciplines that have taken time to
achieve a certain result. You might just
choose to use that going forward. And
chiropractic is no different. So once
you get going, you know, whether you
stay or keep going, that’s up to you.
But that’s a trit phrase. Uh that really
makes no sense. So invest in yourself.
When you find a thing that’s working
well, that helps you to live better,
feel better, age better, like
chiropractic,
use it and you’ll be glad you did.
