Why Waiting Isn’t Helping Your Pain

If you’ve been having pain for a while
or if you have sort of a chronic
condition, you know that our health
system is kind of broken. Sometimes
you’ll wait weeks just just to see your
primary care doctor. If they have time
to see you in the next couple of weeks,
chances are you’ll go there. They may
take an X-ray, but they’re likely to
refer you on to an orthopedist or to a
neurologist or to a pain specialist.
Now, you’re two or three weeks down the
road. Your case might require an MRI or
a CT scan. That’s another couple weeks
of waiting. All the while, we could be
changing the situation that you’re in,
improving your health, removing the
interference that keeps you from
healing, and addressing the pain that’s
been nagging at you for so long. I’d
encourage you to try chiropractic. We
are what’s called portal of entry,
meaning you don’t need a referral to see
the chiropractor. And in most cases, we
can see you today or tomorrow and get
you started on the road to health long
before you could even schedule an
appointment with your primary care doc.
